About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an automation engineering team focused on the design, development, and testing of advanced equipment and automated systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking mechanical concepts from the early design stage through production and testing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of mechanical design experience.
Experience with 3D CAD and mechanical drafting.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

4+ years of mechanical design experience.
SolidWorks experience.
Experience designing electromechanical assemblies or automated equipment.
Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems.
Experience taking designs from concept through prototype, testing, and production.

Responsibilities

Develop mechanical concepts and detailed designs for automated equipment and electromechanical systems.
Create 3D models, assemblies, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
Perform tolerance analysis, design calculations, and other engineering analysis as needed.
Participate in design reviews and collaborate with senior engineers on complex automation projects.
Ensure designs meet customer requirements, product specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Work closely with manufacturing and operations to improve designs for quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Troubleshoot mechanical design and quality issues and develop solutions.
Support prototype builds, testing, and design validation.
Assist with research and development initiatives to improve products, processes, and engineering methods.
Respond to customer requests and provide technical solutions related to assigned projects.
