About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to join our team. This role involves conducting detailed inspections and root cause investigations into motor and generator failures. The inspections will include hands-on work such as electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray review, and material and fluid analysis. The position also includes lab testing of electric drive components and systems, focusing on performance, durability, and failure/root cause investigation.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience (or 4-5 years with a Master's or Associate's degree).
• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering.
• Electrical testing experience.
• Product development experience.
• Failure analysis experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections and root cause investigation into motor and generator failures.
• Perform hands-on work including electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray review, and material and fluid analysis.
• Conduct lab testing of electric drive components and systems, including performance and durability testing.
• Investigate failures and determine root causes.
