About The Position

Omya is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical plant equipment that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This role is ideal for experienced maintenance professionals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and making a direct impact on plant performance.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with industrial equipment, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process controls.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
Strong computer and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Welding, pipefitting, millwright, or fabrication experience.
Experience with instrumentation, VFDs, and manufacturing process equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain and optimize production equipment to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
Perform equipment inspections, rebuilds, retrofits, and preventive maintenance.
Support process instrumentation, drives, and control systems.
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
Train and support team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Follow all plant safety and environmental standards.
