About The Position

OEI (O'Brien Engineering & Architecture) is seeking a full-time Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing VDC Technician with 2+ years of experience to join our team. This position is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing team. The MEP VDC will collaborate with a multidisciplinary A/E team and will work on municipal, land development, private, industrial, healthcare, military/defense, and other projects. using Revit and AutoCAD software.

Requirements

Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience using Autodesk Revit in an architectural, engineering, construction, or MEP environment.
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of construction documents, drafting standards, and BIM workflows.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) preferred.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain detailed BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
Develop Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing drawings, plans, sections, details, schedules, and documentation from BIM models.
Support Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes throughout project lifecycles.
Coordinate models with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Participate in model reviews and coordination meetings to identify and resolve design conflicts.
Ensure models comply with project requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
Generate quantities, material takeoffs, and reports from BIM models.
Maintain model accuracy and document revisions throughout project execution.
Support project teams with model-based MEP planning and visualization.
Organize and manage project files, templates, families, and BIM content libraries.
Assist in developing and improving BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
Provide technical support and training to project team members as needed.
