In the role of Mechanical Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects, perform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures, write and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devices. You will utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selections. You will prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications and reports. You will work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects. You will supervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines. You will take responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolution. You will perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis
  • Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Coordinator” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experience
