About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking an engineer to help design and improve mechanical drivetrain systems and related components. This role supports new product development and ongoing product updates. The engineer will plan and develop drivetrain system designs, create and update mechanical designs using CAD tools, and analyze components such as gears, shafts, electric motors, and bearings to ensure they meet performance needs. The position also involves supporting testing and reviewing results to improve designs, collaborating with other teams such as manufacturing, quality, service, and purchasing, and clearly documenting work for team use. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
CAD and 3D modeling skills.
Basic understanding of GD&T.
Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Individuals with temporary visas are ineligible. Sponsorship for work authorization, now or in the future, is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of mechanical design experience.
Familiarity with gear or drivetrain standards.
Experience with gear or drivetrain analysis software.
Understanding of casting or forging design.
Experience with tolerance stack-ups.
Basic knowledge of materials and heat treatment.
Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.

Responsibilities
