About The Position

The Mechanical Drafter will work directly with the Goose Works design team, supporting ongoing engineering projects with a focus on technical drawing and documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in CAD design, drafting, and engineering document management, offering exposure to the full design cycle within a professional engineering environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and eager to apply engineering concepts to real-world projects.

Requirements

Completed or currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of engineering design principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

Support the Mechanical Engineer and Goose Works design team with design and documentation tasks.
Create, update, and maintain technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Assist with engineering documentation, including revision tracking and organization of project files.
Participate in design reviews and provide support with design updates as needed.
Ensure drawings and documents meet company standards for accuracy and clarity.
Collaborate with team members to support ongoing project deliverables.
Perform other tasks as assigned to contribute to project goals.
