About The Position

Precision Pumping Systems (PPS) is seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer to join their growing pump design team. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional who can translate project requirements into accurate, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs for custom pump stations. PPS has been a family-owned manufacturing leader since 1972 and is experiencing growth in demand for their packaged pumping systems.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of SolidWorks experience
Experience with PDM and AutoCAD
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and manage workload independently
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, manufacturable designs

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings in SolidWorks
Design custom pump station layouts, including piping, structural components, valves, and mechanical equipment
Generate bills of materials (BOMs), cut lists, and manufacturing documentation for production
Coordinate with electrical engineering, project management, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet project requirements and installation constraints
Review designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company standards
Support design reviews, revisions, and updates throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain organized drawing packages and revision control within the company's document management system
