The Hardware Engineering Team provides engineering design and development services to a wide range of products within Raytheon. The Critical Item Production Readiness (CPR) department is dedicated to ensuring that every product we develop is designed with its entire production lifecycle in mind. By integrating principles of manufacturability, assembly, scalability, and cost management, we aim to achieve production excellence while meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability. The Producibility and Dimensional Management (P&DM) section within the CPR department is seeking a Mechanical Dimensional Management Engineer, located onsite in various locations including Tucson AZ, Tewksbury MA, Marlborough MA, and McKinney TX. The Mechanical Dimensional Management (DM) Engineer collaborates directly with Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Processes, and Design and Drafting from the Hardware Engineering Team along with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain peers, and suppliers to implement mechanical producibility improvements on new and emerging programs, and upgrades to existing programs. The team executes tolerance optimization primarily through 3D tolerance and variation analysis and works with the design team to influence the final design. Early engagement in the conceptual stage, and throughout the development process will ensure that our designs are optimized with respect to tolerance controls and methods of manufacture. The DM engineer plays an essential part in reducing product cost and ensuring functional quality. Occasional domestic travel may be expected. This is an onsite position.
