About The Position

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Calgary office. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team, working on mechanical design projects from schematic design through to construction. We seek a candidate who embodies creative thinking and a proactive attitude, complemented by strong communication, organizational, and report writing skills. Ideally, you should have a solid foundation in design principles and a keen interest in developing your technical knowledge while contributing to innovative projects. Requirements

Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP and Microsoft Office.
Up-to-date knowledge of technical developments, building codes and standards.
Clear and concise communication, both orally and written.
Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team.
2-8 years of technical mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) experience.

Nice To Haves

P.Eng. or Professional Technologist designation is preferred but not mandatory.
Sustainable design certification (LEED®, Certified Passive House Designer, etc.) or experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Mechanical design including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and building control systems.
System design calculations and equipment selections.
Preparation of contract drawings and documentation.
Project coordination with team designers and external design professionals
Comply with AME Quality management standards and processes.
