Requirements
- 5+ years of experience modeling, creating assemblies and 2D drawings using Solidworks and Solidworks PDM system.
- 3+ years’ experience generating engineering documentation (Acceptance Test Procedures, Work Instructions, BOMs, etc).
- Hands-on experience integrating components across mechanical, electrical, and/or networking domains.
- Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Ability to clearly document designs, analyses, and engineering changes.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with composite or lightweight metallic aircraft structures.
- UAV or military aircraft experience.
Responsibilities
- Using CAD and actual aircraft, package electrical, avionics, propulsion, and mechanical subsystems into assigned airframe volumes.
- Generate, release, and revise detailed CAD models, engineering drawings as directed.
- Generate, release and revise documents supporting manufacturing, such as Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedure, and Bill of Materials.
- Support fabrication, assembly, ground testing, and flight testing with hands-on troubleshooting.
