About The Position
The Mechanical Designer serves to work with the project Engineer to efficiently develop 3-D Revit models and produce construction documents of buildings. In addition, the Mechanical Designer/Technician coordinates with Architects, Engineers, and Designers from other disciplines on project teams to coordinate the designs of the projects.
Requirements
- Associate degree in an structural-related technology program
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other visualization tools
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Sensitive to the need to change their personal behavior quickly in order to effectively communicate and coordinate with others
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Effective at handling multiple tasks
- Able to learn quickly on the fly and adapt to changes
- Reliable to meet schedules even when faced with difficult circumstances
- Will adhere to our core values and beliefs at all times
- Able to demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, customer service
Responsibilities
- Work with Mechanical Manager and other experienced Engineer on day-to-day tasks
- Work with all design team disciplines daily
- Utilize creative insight and practical solutions
- Research code requirements necessary for each design
- Assist with the preparation of design presentations for the client
- Assist with the development and coordination of project documents from schematic design through construction administration
- Meet established project budgets and schedules
