About The Position

Mechanical Designer is responsible for leading mechanical design and manufacturing projects from concept through completion while serving as a key liaison between customers, engineering, production, and vendor partners. This role combines project management, mechanical design, customer service, sourcing coordination, and team leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and customer expectations.

  • Providing regular project updates and communicating changes, risks, and solutions effectively.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting Project Managers, Coordinators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Establishing project goals, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting team development.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve project workflows, reduce delays, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Preparing reports related to project progress, resource allocation, costs, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Recommending improvements to systems, tools, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee manufacturing and mechanical design projects from concept through completion.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, budget requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, production, quality, logistics, procurement, and customer teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
  • Create and revise mechanical drawings and specifications using SolidWorks.
  • Develop designs in accordance with company regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure design specifications are properly executed.
  • Analyze manufacturing or design issues and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
