About The Position

We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Designer with strong PTC Creo experience to support a fast-paced engineering team focused on 3D parametric design, large assembly packaging, and wire harness routing . This role is ideal for a designer with hands-on experience creating production-ready technical drawings, managing component clearances, and supporting prototype-to-production design releases in a structured product development environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Creo Cabling, electrical harness routing, Windchill PLM, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards .

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 5+ years of Creo CAD design experience
  • Strong experience with Creo Cabling Tool for electrical harness and wire routing
  • Experience working in Windchill PLM
  • Proven background in technical drawing creation, detailing, and GD&T
  • Working knowledge of prototype and production manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment with shifting priorities
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate design work
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D parametric models and component designs using PTC Creo
  • Design and package wire harness routing, retention, clips, and attachment strategies in large assemblies
  • Analyze and maintain stationary and moving part clearances
  • Create detailed technical drawings and release documentation
  • Apply GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards to production drawings
  • Support prototype and production manufacturing methods
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to resolve design issues
  • Maintain organized CAD data, revisions, and documentation within Windchill PLM
  • Provide occasional manufacturing floor support during prototype builds or design validation
  • Communicate design progress, risks, and technical updates clearly to stakeholders
