About The Position

We’re hiring Mechanical Design Engineers to design and develop test systems, mechanical assemblies, and hardware fixtures supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you’ll use Creo (Pro/E) and other CAD tools to create designs used in environmental testing (vibration, thermal, RF, and electro-mechanical systems). You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to take designs from concept through integration, validation, and production support, making this a great opportunity for engineers early in their careers who want hands-on experience with real hardware and complex systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
2+ years of experience in mechanical design or engineering support
Experience with 3D CAD tools (Creo / ProE preferred)
Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical design principles
Experience creating mechanical drawing packages
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience with mechanical and electronic packaging
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Windchill, cPDM)
Exposure to thermal or structural analysis
Experience with environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal)
Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems
Experience with model-based design or systems engineering concepts

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical test systems, fixtures, and hardware assemblies
Create and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings (Creo / ProE)
Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability and performance
Support environmental testing systems (vibration, thermal, RF, electro-mechanical)
Assist with system integration, validation, and production support
Troubleshoot issues and recommend design improvements for reliability and performance
Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams on hardware integration
