Mechanical Engineer

Cleaning Technologies Group•Cincinnati, OH

About The Position

The Mechanical Design Engineer supports the design and development of custom machinery by creating detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers. The role develops fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing practices, and engineering standards, with hands-on exposure to machine builds, testing, and continuous improvement. It is suited to early-career engineers seeking to deepen technical skills and grow toward advanced engineering or project-focused roles. The position is in the Ransohoff Division's Engineering Department and reports to the Engineering Team Leader. It is salaried and exempt. The engineer works in both an office and a traditional shop environment, may encounter loud noises and fumes or smells, and works around high-voltage machinery. Periodic travel to customer jobsites may be required for startups, machine commissioning, and warranty work. Many projects do not require travel; trips are usually one to two days, though some may be longer. There are no supervisory responsibilities, though the engineer may assist with training new employees.
