Boeing•Berkeley, MO
•$103,700 - $140,300•Onsite

About The Position

The Boeing Company's Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Environmental Test Design Engineering team in Berkeley, MO. This role primarily supports St. Louis Environmental Lab testing for local Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) programs. The design team collaborates with lab test teams to provide necessary designs and hardware for testing. The Environmental labs offer capabilities in vibrational/structural dynamics, acoustics, airflow systems, fuel flow systems, high temperature flow impingement, and environmental control chambers with variable temperature, humidity, and pressure. Mechanical Design Engineers will design and modify test articles, fixtures, and support structures that integrate with lab facilities, ranging from simple adapters to complex test rigs and aircraft subsystems. Responsibilities include designing interfaces for facility infrastructure such as pressure, heating/cooling, power, hydraulics, and instrumentation. Design Engineers also support fabrication, installation, connection, and acceptance/check-out to deliver test-ready hardware. Boeing St. Louis is involved in cutting-edge military aircraft and weapons programs like T-7A, F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25, JDAM, SDB, and Phantom Works proprietary efforts.
