About The Position

MBDA Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development and design of mechanical systems. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, producing high-quality technical documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
Two to four years of relevant industry experience.
At least two years of experience in mechanical systems development and design.
Experience using mechanical modeling or CAD software such as Siemens NX, Unigraphics, CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to collaborate successfully as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Five or more years of experience in mechanical systems development and design.
Experience using Siemens NX.
Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop mechanical designs and supporting technical documentation.
Prepare engineering studies, conceptual designs, layouts, and detailed drawings.
Create and maintain interface control drawings and installation drawings.
Develop control plans and other design-related documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized CAD databases and design records.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and other functional teams.
Communicate technical information clearly through written documentation, presentations, and team discussions.
Ensure designs and documentation meet applicable project requirements, engineering standards, and configuration-control processes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
