About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a mechanical engineering college new hire in Grand Prairie, TX. The successful candidate must demonstrate highly innovative approaches to resolve difficult production and design issues. This candidate will be responsible for assisting production and development teams, resolving technical challenges, incorporating engineering changes, updating drawings / assembly parts lists, and developing new designs and tools. The candidate will support hardware operations and may provide support to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations as well as supplier support.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree
Proficiency in CAD design tools such as PTC Creo, 3DX/CATIA, Solidworks, Siemens NX, etc.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with machining, rapid prototyping, or lab equipment (CNC, 3D printers, test rigs)
Experience with GD&T, sketching, technical drawing standards, or similar hands-on hardware support
Basic understanding of industry standards (ISO, ASME, and ASTM)
Demonstrated successful group collaboration and/or individual project work, ideally in mechanics or design areas
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, work with system integration issues, design challenges, etc., demonstrated through hands-on experience
