About The Position

The primary purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties for the Engineer department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.

Requirements

Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or similar.
Experience in AutoCAD.
Experience designing for the food industry and an understanding of hygienic design requirements.
Experience in sheet metal design and an understanding of welding advantages and limitations.

Nice To Haves

Experience in SolidWorks would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority
Complete 3D designs for new, and existing machine components, fabrications and assemblies.
Translate 3D models into detailed drawings with an eye for detail
Create machine documentation from BOMs for manufacture through to parts manuals and after-sales service.
Layouts in AutoCAD for potential customers
Create presentations of the equipment in PowerPoint using 3D SolidWorks models that we provide
Assist with creation of operational manuals for the existing equipment
Assist with looking for the local suppliers for some parts (if required in the future)
