  • Strong experience with precision mechanical design and 3D CAD (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent).
  • Hands‑on exposure to optics, opto‑mechanical systems, or alignment‑critical hardware.
  • Experience working with vacuum-compatible designs (materials, fasteners, cleanliness).
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross‑disciplinary R&D environment.
  • Clear technical communication skills (drawings, procedures, design reviews).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vacuum and laser systems, or semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Familiarity with optical alignment methods, metrology tools, and reference frame management.
  • Experience designing for thermal stability, vibration sensitivity, and long‑term alignment repeatability.
  • Exposure to UHV systems, contamination control, or cleanroom assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Design & Opto‑Mechanical Support Design and detail precision mechanical components and assemblies supporting EUV source optics, opto‑mechanical mounts, and alignment hardware.
  • Develop designs compatible with ultra‑high vacuum (UHV), thermal stability, contamination control, and high‑power laser environments.
  • Support mechanical interfaces between EUV optics, vacuum chambers, and source subsystems.
  • Alignment & Integration Support EUV optics alignment, including definition of datums, shimming strategies, adjustability ranges, and tolerance stack‑ups.
  • Contribute to vacuum chamber alignment concepts and procedures to ensure optical and mechanical reference consistency.
  • Support Laser Beam Delivery Unit alignment, including opto‑mechanical mounts, beam path stability, and serviceability considerations.
  • Participate in system‑level integration, alignment builds, and troubleshooting during lab and tool bring‑up.
  • Analysis & Documentation Perform tolerance analysis, basic structural and thermal assessments, and alignment sensitivity studies.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
