About The Position

The Boeing Company Integrated Vehicle Systems team is looking to hire a Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join the Advanced Aeromechanical Control Effector Systems (AACES) Lab team in St Louis, MO. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, and Mid-Level Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineers. The selected mechanical systems design & analysis engineer will support the development and demonstration of advanced actuators and adaptive structures for flight control, aerodynamic reconfigurability, actuated wind tunnel models, non-pyrotechnic release mechanisms, utility actuation and space thermal control systems. These novel actuation and adaptive structure systems highly leverage smart materials including shape memory alloys. The selected candidate will regularly perform and support requirement-based engineering design cycles to design, fabricate and assemble mechanical and actuation systems for prototype bench, wind-tunnel and flight test demonstrations. Most of this work will be performed in the AACES laboratory and therefore requires experience working in laboratory environments. Experience in rapid prototyping and the ability to plan and run experiments, acquire data and write reports are essential for this position.
