About The Position

This role is for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager located in Menomonie, WI. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial and industrial plumbing and HVAC construction projects ranging from $1M to $10M in scope. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate labor projections, producing reliable forecasts of project financial performance, and actively managing work through all phases of execution. The role involves regular meetings with management to review project status, schedules, and key milestones, as well as participating in turnover meetings for seamless transitions. Collaboration with engineers, field leadership, suppliers, and other subcontractors is essential for coordinating installation activities and ensuring successful project outcomes. This position requires a hands-on approach to project management, influencing financial performance and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations. The Project Manager will also support customer follow-up and benefit from a unified team structure with collaborative support from Purchasing, Drafting, and Collections.

Requirements

  • Prior construction project management or sales experience with plumbing and HVAC related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of design.
  • Strong understanding of how to put together a disciplined estimate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
