About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects, ensuring effective cost management and project success. This role involves supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects, with a focus on data center construction. The position requires good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering, and excellent communication skills. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
Minimum 3 plus years of relevant experience.
Thrives in a client facing role.
Experience supporting program level cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects.
Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support in preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in data center construction projects.
Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive cost management plans.
Analyze project requirements and provide value engineering options.
Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering.
Communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to prepare estimates.
Provide estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies.
Assist in the development of estimating standards and best practices.
