About The Position
The Mechanical Construction Assistant Project Manager for the San Diego CA location has the following duties which include safety of UMEC field personnel assigned to the projects, field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial projections and reporting, material, and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs. Other duties may be as assigned.
Requirements
- 5-7 years construction work-related experience and/or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
- Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Able to effectively operate Microsoft (Excel, Word, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Prioritize in a fast paced, multi-task environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions
- Work with minimal supervision
- Effectively manage time and details
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data
- Comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs
