We have an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician responsible for building parts to meet customer quality requirements. Schedule : Day Shift - Mon - Fri : 8 am to 4:30pm

Requirements

1-2 years’ experience in machine shop assembly, specifically in Helicoil and Dowel pins.
Must be able to read and interpret simple blueprints and follow assembly instructions.
Ability to use calipers, height gages, hand tools, box cutters and other tools effectively.
Excellent level of hand-eye coordination to work with small components in a controlled manufacturing setting.
Basic math skills.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent plus hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts by following applicable manufacturing documentation.
Perform basic mechanical assembly, e.g. install Helicoil and Dowel pins, etc.
Perform inspection to ensure the part meets specifications and standards using instruments such as calipers and height gauges.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Maintain assembly equipment and tools.
Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure all assemblies meet quality requirements.
Maintain proper Job Traveler documentation.
Report any malfunctions or hazardous conditions in the area to the supervisor.
Perform other job-related duties.
