The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including wire assembly, fitting, and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. This role involves performing assembly required for test preparation and final inspection, using established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. The technician will perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions. Responsibilities include assembling panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications using electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with hand and power tools. The role also involves inspecting and testing finished products, using various tools for electrical wiring assembly, maintaining job progress, receiving and putting away material, preparing products for shipment, performing Lean Initiatives, and cross-training across functions.
