About The Position

Lawler Manufacturing is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician with soldering experience who enjoys building things and working with piping, fittings, valves, and mechanical components. This role offers steady, hands-on work in a clean, quiet manufacturing facility, with no travel, service calls, or customers. The position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no weekends and no mandatory overtime. Lawler Manufacturing has been in business since 1896 and provides year-round work in a structured manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Previous soldering experience is required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to measure accurately and follow diagrams
• Dependable attendance and attention-to-detail

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC, or basic wiring experience is preferred
• Experience as a plumber, HVAC technician, pipefitter, installer, or in another hands-on mechanical trade

Responsibilities

• Solder piping and components
• Measure and cut pipe
• Assemble piping, fittings, tubing, valves, and mechanical components
• Make basic wiring connections
• Follow diagrams and assembly instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
• Check work for accuracy and quality
• Assist with valve assembly when production needs require it
• Perform other assembly or manufacturing responsibilities for which they are trained and qualified, based on production needs.
