About The Position

VMAC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mechanical Assembler to join our team. Reporting to Production Supervisor, you will play a key part in building high-quality products by assembling mechanical components to precise specifications, ensuring reliability, performance, and safety.

Requirements

  • Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or college/vocational or technical training and experience.
  • 1-3 Years of experience in relevant field.
  • Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.

  • General mechanical knowledge considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Follow current drawings when assembling products.
  • Rebuild and repair products where required.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks.
  • Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes.
  • Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work, accordingly, communicating any bottlenecks or flow problems to Production Supervisor.
  • Test and identify all assembled products where required.
  • Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure adequate supply of parts.
  • Report on spoilage, stock damage, shrinkage, and inventory inaccuracies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on outages, low or overstock quantities.
  • Ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing goods.
  • Participate in periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of department objectives.
  • Liaise with other departments internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as required.
