About The Position

As a Mechanical Assembler at ABEC, you will be involved in project-based manufacturing. You will spend time in our clean, climate-controlled Bethlehem facility, carefully building precision stainless-steel systems and vessels. Once complete, you and your teammates will travel to customer sites to install and commission the equipment you helped create. This role supports the production of life-saving medicines and allows you to see the real-world impact of your work.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • One (1) year previous Assembler/Fabrication experience
  • Ability to read tape measure and perform simple mathematical equations
  • Aptitude with blue print reading
  • Proficient with the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. / 23 kilograms
  • Required to stand for long periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor
  • You will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull and carry items
  • Exposure to loud noises
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication; stainless steel experience preferred
  • MIG/TIG welding experience is a plus
  • Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus
  • Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical components using schematics from our in-house design team
  • Build precision equipment for advanced liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Test, troubleshoot, and verify system performance
  • Travel within the U.S. or internationally to support equipment installation and final commissioning
