Participation in safety initiatives and support for manufacturing activities through problem resolution, fabrication, and training are also key aspects of this role. The individual will self-manage workflow with minimal guidance to achieve team goals, estimate timelines for defect resolution or process enhancements, and identify and correct minor process, material, design, or equipment problems. Active participation in material review activities, including troubleshooting non-conformances and disassembly of nonconforming products to identify root cause, is expected. The role includes performing mid-level testing or mechanical operations on production/repair hardware, providing skill-specific training, and accurately recording time changes, test data, and parts usage, which requires data interpretation. Additionally, the position involves generating reports from test results, communicating findings, or taking corrective action, and utilizing multiple databases to provide information for decision-making.
