About The Position

ESPEC North America (ENA) is seeking a Mechanical Assembler I to join their Production Department. This role involves performing the assembly of mechanical components on environmental test chambers before they move to final assembly and testing. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles required.
  • Previous experience working with hand tools is required.
  • Must be able to read tape measure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend multiple step instructions (in the English language), short correspondence, and memos.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Builds the mechanical portion of all chamber models.
  • Follows company engineering documents and written work instructions with direct assistance.
  • Builds sub-assemblies such as door assemblies, heater frame assemblies, sheet metal panel assemblies, and motor assemblies.
  • Cuts and installs insulation.
  • Pulls parts from the warehouse to fulfill work orders.
  • Identifies and reports any quality defects or discrepancies observed during the assembly process to the supervisor.
  • Uses hand tools such as drills, wrenches, grinders, screwdrivers and knives.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Regular, physical attendance is required.
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
