Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of related manufacturing assembly and testing of the following types of products: relief valves, chemical injection pumps, control/dump/check valves, butterfly valves, liquid level controllers/switches
  • Computer experience
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to operate assembly and testing equipment properly and safely
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Requires ability to read, speak and write in English, follow verbal and written instruction
  • Qualified to operate alone, meets expectations for quality and productivity, can handle all setups and documentation alone
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOM)
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly equipment and product test equipment
  • Ability to use personal computer and/or workstation
  • Ability to meet TAKT Time and quality standards
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Read work instructions, work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receive verbal instructions regarding required duties
  • Interpret assembly instructions, drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications to build/test quality products
  • Assemble different parts of manufactured products using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment
  • Completely assemble, test and package product built on the line
  • Occasionally disassemble and repair products returned by customer
  • Set up moderate to semi‐complex test equipment on a variety of products to measure and record assembly conformance to test specifications
  • Set up test stands with appropriate plumbing for pneumatic and hydrostatic tests from required product test specifications
  • Complete required test documentation including test reports
  • Inspect, understand, and document all materials, heat numbers, components, subassemblies, and specifications to assure they meet the accepted quality standards
  • Complete required inspection documentation, marking of heat numbers and nameplate
  • Participate in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
