The hourly rate for this position is $21 - $25 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. The hours for this position are 3:30pm to 12am. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent additional experience
Minimum 12 months experience in mechanical assembly using power tools.
Experience using torque tools.
Legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON to be considered.
Must be able to speak, read and write English effectively.
Functional with computers, in order to use a variety of digital business tools (email, ADP, electronic models, eLearning modules).

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education or a technical certificate in a mechanical trade.
Experience using Outlook, ADP, Oracle and Inventor.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes (Kanban, 5S+, MRB) and Six Sigma Tools.
Proven aptitude for complex mechanical work.
Strong work ethic.
Able to visualize and plan the assembly of a switchboard structure.
Excellent attitude towards quality, safety, continuous improvement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Constructs large steel switchboard structures largely by hand using hand/power tools, ladders, machines, jigs/fixtures and other manufacturing equipment.
Build large switchboard structures and internal subassemblies using pre-fabricated metal parts (steel and copper), following engineering schematics and electrical drawings.
Mount and brace parts and subassemblies inside structures.
Construct custom skids using power saw and nail gun.
Ensure use of proper hardware, correct torque and consistent fastening methods.
Identify design issues and raise them through the correct channels.
Visually inspect parts and material for conformance to quality standards and customer specifications.
Modify parts using machines and power tools.
Repair or rework issues detected during the inspection/test stage of the job.
