Mechanical Aircraft Completions Technician
About The Position
Modify and repair aircraft systems and structures. This role involves completing structural modifications to helicopters, installing medical support systems and avionics systems (including STC kits), and accomplishing airframe structural repairs. The technician will also replace and repair components according to aircraft maintenance manuals, perform operational checks of helicopter systems, and conduct track and balance operations on rotor systems. Fabrication of detail sheet metal parts from blueprints and development of custom installations for medical and avionics equipment are key responsibilities. The position may require travel to base locations for repairs or modifications, maintenance of shop equipment and areas, and performing maintenance on rotating components like engines, transmissions, and drive shafts. Training new employees on company processes and procedures is also part of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five to seven years’ related aircraft sheet metal repair and modification experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in reading and interpreting blue prints
- Experience reading precision measuring equipment
- Experience in use of sheet metal related shop equipment
- Proficient in using manufacturer’s maintenance manuals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certification
- Subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident)
