About The Position
Maintain and repair warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, trailers, conveyors, and power equipment. Provide mechanical support for a dedicated delivery system by diagnosing issues and performing preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs.
Requirements
- Pass a Department of Transportation exam.
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Six months of related experience.
- Two to five years of equipment maintenance experience.
- One year of fleet experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule daily maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment, and other warehouse power equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance work performed internally and externally meets company standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance with company driving policies.
- Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient system operation.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
