Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. What You Will Do: Join Pratt & Whitney at our Columbus Engine Center, where precision meets purpose. As a Mechanic, you’ll play a critical role in the overhaul, repair, and assembly of advanced jet engines that power commercial and military aircraft around the world. Working in a hands-on, team-driven environment, you’ll apply your mechanical expertise to ensure engines are restored to peak performance, safety, and reliability. This is a Weekend Shift position: Friday – Sunday 6:30am – 7:00 pm

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate
Hands-on experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly, or Turbine Engine Test Operations.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP

Responsibilities

Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.
Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble/disassembly and test a jet engine.
Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly as specified by work instructions, comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives.
