About The Position

This position is located in Western Midstream Rockies Region as a member of the DJ Basin Midstream organization in Longmont, CO. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining gathering and processing equipment, adhering to safety and environmental regulations, and working collaboratively with various teams. The role involves hands-on maintenance, record-keeping, and responding to emergency situations. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, possess computer skills, and maintain good housekeeping practices. The position requires a valid driver's license and may involve travel.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience in oil and gas required
  • Ability to work in cooperative team environment
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook is required
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in maintenance and operation of gas engines and compressors preferred
  • Knowledge in maintenance and operation of gas processing plant equipment including various type pumps, fans, blowers and filters preferred
  • Relevant Gas and Electric driven compression package certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintain gathering and processing equipment including gas engines, electric motors, compressors, pumps, coolers and other rotating equipment
  • Read and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures to make necessary repairs
  • Organize and maintain equipment records with preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Respond to call out requests as needed for maintenance and emergency situations
  • Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment
  • Work closely with representatives of equipment manufacturers
  • Work around heavy equipment and in variable environmental conditions
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Obtain and maintain relevant certification for maintenance tasks on equipment in area of responsibility
  • Maintain communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including plant and field supervision, operations, I&E, other maintenance employees, clerical staff, and contractors
  • Maintain truck and tools including minor maintenance of truck and attachments to ensure proper working condition at all times
  • Provide individual accountability for hand tools and other specialty diagnostic equipment
