About The Position
Detroit Aggregate is looking for a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks and construction equipment. Detroit Aggregate is an aggregate hauler based in Detroit, MI with loading, crushing and transportation divisions. Our Growth is Creating Great Opportunities! Requirements
- 2+ year of experience
- Basic set of tools
- Experience working on hydraulics, concrete mixer trucks, gravel train equipment and diesel trucks
- Experience working on heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators
Responsibilities
- Repair diesel trucks, trailers and heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
- Tire repair
- Landing gear repair
