About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to join their team. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. The fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. The company offers opportunities to build skills on various equipment, develop a career track in service or operations management, and work in a safety-focused environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
- Fluency in both English & French is required. Proficiency in English is necessary to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues across North America, respond to English inquiries and ensure clear internal collaboration with our team.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
Responsibilities
