About The Position

The Mechanic inspects and tests vehicles and performs preventive maintenance, including tire rotation and replacement, wheel balancing, alignments, oil changes, filter replacement, and fluid exchanges. The role includes identifying and communicating recommended repairs and services, completing work to manufacturer specifications, maintaining relevant certifications, and assisting with front-counter and phone duties. This is a full-time, hourly position and is eligible for monthly bonuses.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Must be at least 18 years old.
The position requires ASE A5 – Brakes within one year in the position, or ASE G1 – Maintenance and Light Repair.

Nice To Haves

Six months of related experience.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Complete a vehicle inspection each time and communicate potential repairs to the front counter before the vehicle leaves the shop.
Consistently inspect vehicles and recommend needed repairs or services using the vehicle inspection report.
Perform vehicle alignments and fluid exchanges according to manufacturer specifications.
Evaluate brake condition and recommend repairs.
Perform oil changes and replace air filters.
Change, repair, balance, and replace tires, ensuring proper torquing on all jobs.
Monitor and replenish lube-related inventory.
Recommend products and services when needed.
Quote repairs.
Complete required training and maintain certifications, including ASE A5 – Brakes within one year in the position, or ASE G1 – Maintenance and Light Repair.
Assist with phones and front-counter duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
