This role focuses on repairing, rebuilding, and testing industrial pumps and rotating equipment. The mechanic diagnoses failures, rebuilds components, and supports repairs from teardown through final testing. The work emphasizes complete teardowns, failure analysis, rebuilds, and remanufacturing to restore equipment to OEM specifications, rather than routine preventive maintenance on operating equipment. Equipment includes centrifugal pumps (ANSI/API), vertical turbine pumps, multistage pumps, split-case pumps, positive displacement pumps, air-operated diaphragm (AODD) pumps, gearboxes, blowers, valves, motors, and other rotating equipment. The position involves working independently on full teardown and rebuild projects, as well as working with a team in a quality-focused shop environment.
