About The Position

Primoris Power Delivery is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to support Power Delivery operations in Raleigh, NC. This role troubleshoots, services, repairs, and maintains company equipment and fleet assets, including vehicles, trailers, aerial equipment, and heavy machinery. The position supports safe and efficient operations by ensuring all equipment is maintained to company and project standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in automotive, truck, or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to pass post-offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation
  • Must comply with all job site safety requirements (PPE, client-specific policies, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in automotive or heavy equipment
  • ASE and/or Fluid Power Society certifications
  • Travel, including overnight and out-of-state, may be required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet and equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, A/C, gasoline, and diesel systems
  • Safely operate hand and power tools
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complete work in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and materials
  • Report to and assist supervisor as needed
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Support shop and occasional field/mobile repair work, including travel as required
  • Work overtime as needed based on operational demands
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently with minimal supervision
