About The Position
Uline is hiring a Mechanic for its Connecticut Branch in Plainfield. The Mechanic will help keep equipment operating at peak performance in a 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse. No travel is required, and Uline supplies the necessary tools. New hires earn a $5,000 bonus. The stated hourly pay range is $29 to $38, with growth and earning potential. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with listed shift options of 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. The position is on-site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of mechanic experience.
- Experience maintaining Crown, Toyota, and automated warehouse equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and automated conveyors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair warehouse equipment, including pickers, forklifts, conveyor systems, wrappers, banders, and sealed air pillow machines.
- Maintain detailed parts inventory and maintenance and repair records.
- Work safely using appropriate protective equipment and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
