The Mechanic performs mechanical work on vehicles and equipment at the highest skill level. This role involves analyzing test results, machine error messages, and information from operators to diagnose equipment problems. The Mechanic will also assist with documenting downtime, repair costs, and other data. Responsibilities include observing and testing machinery operations to diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic tools, performing routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters according to checklists. Additionally, the role requires assembling, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment, as well as disassembling machinery for repairs.
