About The Position

Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs all conveyor and related material handling equipment. Performs preventative maintenance routines, works with automated sortation equipment, and handles building repairs. Must possess general knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and pneumatics, with the ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, welding, and battery maintenance. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and comprehend instruction.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and lift or otherwise move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Good communications and writing skills.
  • Capable of completing all company forms and paperwork.
  • Ability to work at heights or unusual work positions.
  • Math skills including general math.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings (architect, mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Three years of experience in the industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems.
  • Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas: electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulic, mechanical, and electrical drive systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA standards.
  • Understand and knowledgeable of MSDS sheets.
  • Ability to operate all shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Three plus years working in an industrial or similar maintenance environment.
  • Must score 75% or higher on testing at Massanutten Technical Center.
