Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or as a mechanic
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with pumps and/or rotating equipment
  • Electrical background, including wiring of pumps with motors
  • Experience in the mining industry
  • Hands-on experience with pump brands such as Warman, Gallagher, Hazleton, Ash, Lewis, and Delta pumps
  • Previous training or certification in pump maintenance and repair

Responsibilities

  • Accurately assemble pumps, valves, and process equipment by reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Prepare components before assembly and conduct thorough testing and inspection to ensure quality and fit without creaks or leaks.
  • Perform tear down, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of pumps and valves, including sandblasting and painting as needed.
  • Work hands-on daily to maintain equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain precise records of work performed, including time sheets, parts used, and inspection reports, ensuring all data entry related to customer or Weir equipment is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance productivity within a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for on-site adjustments and support, ensuring equipment operates optimally in the field.
