About The Position

The Entry Level Mechanic supports production operations at Conagra Brands’ Marshall, Missouri facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing plant and production equipment. The role helps maintain equipment reliability, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs that support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This is an onsite third-shift position with a scheduled shift of 10:30 PM to 5:30 AM. The hourly rate is $22.17, plus a $1.00 shift differential. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Vocational or technical training in machine maintenance.
Electrical experience.
Ability to read and write English to complete production and quality documentation.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
Familiarity with basic shop equipment, electric arc welders, plasma cutters, torches, and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts and components on plant and production equipment.
Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order.
Inspect machines and equipment to identify problems, replace defective parts, and make adjustments to support continuous production.
Use equipment, repair, and parts manuals and parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment.
Use hand and power tools to work on equipment and components.
Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machines.
Perform welding, electrical, and fabrication work as needed.
Work extended shifts, overtime, and weekends based on production and business needs.
