About The Position

Our Trailer Mechanic position could be just the spot to start your career with XTRA Lease. If you have at least one year of experience working on trailers and brakes, possess a valid and current driver's license, and own your own tools, this job could be a good fit for you. As a Trailer Mechanic, your typical day would include: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all XTRA Lease equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with XTRA Lease repair standards. Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT). Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Working out of the XTRA Lease service truck to service customer rentals at nearby locations.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically on trailers
Minimum of 1 year of experience working on brakes
Must be qualified to complete FHWA inspections
Must have a valid and current driver's license
Own your own tools

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems
General knowledge of mechanical operation and body repair
