About The Position

ISCO is hiring a Mechanic to repair and refurbish fusion equipment in a distribution plant. ISCO is a family-owned and operated end-to-end piping solutions provider specializing in HDPE. The role includes diagnosing and repairing fusion equipment and related systems, inspecting rental and customer-owned equipment, maintaining service records, and preparing equipment for shipping. Team members are provided with tools, equipment, and PPE. The pay range is $25+ per hour, dependent on experience, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Screening requirements include a physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in maintenance or automotive repair preferred.
• Diagnostic ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to quality.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work flexible hours, and work in a team environment.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions.
• Ability to use independent judgment and work both independently and in a team setting.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Frequent standing and climbing are required.
• Must complete a physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with computers for order entry, parts ordering, and email.
• Automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair fusion equipment, including small diesel and gas engines, generators, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform quality inspections of rental fusion equipment before returning it to service.
• Maintain records of service, repairs, and scheduled maintenance of rental fusion equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose customer-owned equipment to prepare repair quotes.
• Communicate the status of down equipment and customer repairs to the maintenance coordinator and service advisors.
• Report machine defects, damages, and malfunctions.
• Repair and service fabrication shop equipment as needed.
• Prepare equipment for shipping.
• Use local vendors and/or vendor websites to locate required parts as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
